Father's Day Craft

One of my moms groups is getting together next week to make Father's Day gifts from the kiddos.

The picture below shows the photo cube box that we will be using. We have already painted it a dark blue and on craft day we have baby blue(boy) and light pink (girl) paint so the little one's can put a handprint on the top of the box.

There are four 3x3 openings for pictures. We will also have material to make the "Happy Dad's Day" card used in the sample. This card was made using the Stampin' Up set "Dad's Day" from the spring/summer 2008 collection.

Enjoy!

Our MOPS group is having our Annual Mother's Day Tea on monday and I volunteered to make the placecards.

Who's Your Paddy?

At my monthly demonstrator meeting this month I learned how to make these cute St. Patrick Day guy's using punches. The original used the large tag punch for the hat and the little circle punch for eyes with a white gel pen, in my version I used the Round tab punch for the hat and googly eyes (non stampin' Up!).

I made these for an upcoming workshop to give out as a little gift to all the guests- I used a Stampin' Dimensional to stick each one to a peppermint patty candy.

To make:

Background- scallop punch w/pumpkin pie or really rust paper
Face- 1 3/8 circle punch w/ Blush blossom paper
Nose-1/2" circle punch w/blush blossom paper- Use Stampin' Dimensionals to raise
Draw mouth with Basic Black Stampin' Write Pen
For Cheeks use pencil eraser and ink with Blush Blossom ink
Hat- Round tab punch folded and adhered with SNAIL adhesive
Rim- Word Window punch
The "buckle" on the hat is punched with the 1/2" square in yo yo yellow

Stampin' Blog

Since I have been an Stampin' Up! Independent demonstrator for just about a year now I decided that I should have a blog to showcase my projects, offer specials, and just have a general place to "chat" about my business. I will try to upload a few pictures later tonight.
